Kuan Kung Temple in Mazagaon is a small but unusual survival from Mumbai's old Chinese community. The city once had a modest Chinatown, but most of that world disappeared after the 1962 Sino-Indian War, when many Chinese residents left India.
The temple is dedicated to Guan Yu and is worth seeking out if you are interested in the less obvious layers of Mumbai's port-city history.
