Dongyong Lighthouse stands on Dongyin, the remote northern outpost of Matsu. The white tower and its clifftop setting make it one of the archipelago's most dramatic viewpoints, especially when the wind is up.
Getting here takes more effort than seeing the sights on Nangan, so do not treat it as a quick add-on. If you make the trip to Dongyin, the lighthouse is the obvious anchor for walks around the island.
