Qinbi Village

Qinbi is the most beautiful village in Matsu, a slope of stone houses facing the sea on Beigan. The roofs, walls, and lanes have the weathered look that travellers hope to find on small islands but rarely do.

It has become a favourite for guesthouses and cafes, yet it still works because the setting is so strong. Come for a slow walk, not a checklist. The view over Turtle Island is especially good in clear light.

A story
Qinbi's stone houses face the sea in tight rows because the village grew from fishing life, not tourism. The architecture is often described as eastern Fujian style, a reminder that Matsu's cultural geography points across the water as much as back toward Taiwan.
