Suicide Cliff is a sea-facing cliff on Dongyin, close to Dongyong Lighthouse. Local tradition links the name to a Qing dynasty story about a fisherman's wife who leapt from the cliff after escaping kidnappers.
The story is grim, but the stop is mainly about the exposed coastal scenery and the sense of Dongyin's remoteness. It works best as part of a walk around the lighthouse and nearby military-era sights.
