Tunnel 88 is a former military tunnel on Nangan now associated with the Matsu Distillery. The cool, stable air made it useful for storing liquor, and the shift from wartime infrastructure to cellar tells you a lot about how the islands have adapted.
It is a short visit, but a good one to pair with the distillery. The tunnel walls, damp air, and rows of jars make a more memorable stop than a standard tasting room.
