Fintown Railway

Fintown Railway is a short heritage railway in the Donegal hills, using a surviving stretch of the old three-foot-gauge line that once crossed the county. The ride is modest, but the setting is the point: bog, lake, low mountains, and a trace of the railway network that used to tie remote Donegal together.

It is best for travellers who like slow transport history and rural detours. Do not come expecting a grand steam railway; come for a small, stubborn piece of local memory.
