Lahinch Golf Club was founded in 1892 and helped make the town a resort. It has two links courses in the dunes north of the town: the Old Course, which Golf Digest ranked 27th among the world's greatest courses in 2024, and the shorter Castle Course, named for the ruin of Dough Castle that stands on it.
From the back tees the Old Course measures 6,950 yards, par 72; the Castle Course is 5,488 yards, par 69.
