A family theme park located just off the A4 motorway at the Capriate exit, roughly halfway between Bergamo and Milan. The park is split into two sections: Minitalia, which features scale models of Italy's major monuments and landmarks, and Leolandia, the rides-and-entertainment side with flume rides, carousels, and shows aimed at younger children.
The miniature Italy section is the original draw — detailed scale replicas of the Colosseum, St Mark's Basilica, and dozens of other monuments spread across the grounds, some accessible by small boat. There's also an aquarium and a terrarium with reptiles.
Getting here without a car is possible via the Autostradale bus service from both Milan (Piazza Castello) and Bergamo (Piazzale Marconi) — advance tickets are available at those offices.
