Morpeth Chantry Bagpipe Museum

Museum of bagpipes, above all the Northumbrian smallpipes, in a medieval chantry

A collection of bagpipes from across the world, centred on the quiet, sweet-toned Northumbrian smallpipes, which are played sitting down with a bellows under the arm. You can hear recordings as you go round. It is in the Chantry, a medieval building by the bridge that also holds the tourist information centre and a craft shop.
