A sandstone ridge just south-west of Rothbury, rising to 430 metres, with crags along its top, heather moorland and forestry below. From the forest car park a circuit takes in the summit and Dove Crag, with views north over Coquetdale to the Cheviots. Local legend gives the hills a population of mischievous dwarfs called duergar.
