The National Centre for Birds of Prey is in Duncombe Park, on the edge of Helmsley, and is open daily with flying displays. Its bookable falconry experiences include the Hawk Hike, an hour's walk of about a mile with a Harris hawk that follows you through the trees and lands on your glove (£40, age 10 and over, usually up to four people), a morning Raptor Experience flying several birds, an Owl Experience, photography days and winter owl evenings. Admission is included with the experiences.
