Littondale

A quiet side valley off Wharfedale, with one road, two hamlets and walks under Pen-y-ghent

A narrow valley running north-west from Wharfedale along the River Skirfare, which often runs dry in summer. It has one road and a handful of hamlets, including Litton and Halton Gill. A seven-mile circuit from the Queen's Arms in Litton climbs past Nether Hesleden towards Pen-y-ghent. The pin is on the pub.
