Ballintoy Harbour

Tiny fishing harbour at the foot of a steep lane, used as Lordsport in Game of Thrones

Ballintoy Harbour is a small fishing harbour about a kilometre below Ballintoy village, at the end of a narrow, steep road down Knocksaughey hill. On the way down you pass the white Ballintoy Parish Church of 1813 and the turning for Larrybane and Carrick-a-Rede. The harbour hosts a dawn service on Easter Sunday every year.

In August 2011 the harbour and village were used to film Lordsport on the Iron Islands for the second season of Game of Thrones, so expect fans with cameras. The lane is narrow and steep, so take it slowly or walk down from the village.
