Frank Bruce Sculpture Trail

Woodland trail at Feshiebridge lined with weathered carvings by a self-taught sculptor, left to decay.

In the forest at Feshiebridge, about eight miles southwest of Aviemore, a free trail leads past large, gnarly sculptures by Frank Bruce. They were always meant to rot back into the wood, and many of them are now well on the way.

It's an odd, quiet stop, and it fits well with a drive or bike ride down the Feshie, or with a visit to the Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig nearby.
