Craigendarroch is the odd-shaped wooded hill that rises straight out of the northwest corner of Ballater. A path climbs round and up through the trees to the top, and from there you see the village laid out below and the Dee valley running west towards Lochnagar.
It's the easy walk in a village full of hard ones. Allow an hour or so for the round trip from the centre, and more if you stop to look.
