4 Blogs for Edinburgh

A resident's weekly diary, an architecture Substack, the river's own trust, and the council's guide beyond the bucket list

Edinburgh is written about endlessly, mostly by people passing through. These four write from inside it: a resident who reports each week on where she actually went, a Substack about the city's buildings, the charity that looks after the Water of Leith, and the council's own guide to the quieter alternatives to the headline sights.

They will take you to a bookshop with rolling ladders, a Basil Spence crematorium, a doctors' garden by Duddingston Loch and the river at dawn.
