Tiny twelfth-century church on a tidal islet near Aberffraw, the 'church in the sea'

A small whitewashed church on a rocky islet off the coast south of Aberffraw, cut off at high tide and reached by a causeway at low water. It dates from the twelfth century and is still used for occasional services. Check the tide times before you walk out.

Simply stunning from every angle. Amazingly, this tiny Anglesey church dates to the 12th century.
