The national mountain-sports centre at Capel Curig, looking across the lakes to the Snowdon horseshoe, and now past its seventieth year. It runs courses rather than one-off guided days: rock climbing, scrambling, hillwalking and winter mountaineering, as well as kayaking, canoeing and mountain biking. Course guests can stay on site.
