Walk the terraced streets of Roath, Splott, Adamsdown, Penylan and Cathays and you will see that many of the front porches are lined with decorative tiles, made in English factories at the turn of the twentieth century. The Roath Local History Society has documented them; spotting them makes a walk through inner-east Cardiff more interesting. The pin marks Roath.
