Boats have been leaving this wharf above the town since 1884. The 45-minute horse-drawn trip goes up the canal towards the Horseshoe Falls at walking pace. The motorboat trip crosses the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Thomas Telford's World Heritage iron trough high above the Dee.
