Nantlle Ridge

Long, narrow grassy ridge west of Rhyd Ddu, with a stone tower built like a giant trig point

A long, narrow ridge running west from Rhyd Ddu above the Nantlle valley, with views across to Yr Wyddfa and down to the sea. Along the way is the Jubilee Tower on Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd, a stone pillar built for Queen Victoria's jubilee that looks like an outsized trig point. The full traverse is a long day and needs transport at the far end; shorter out-and-back walks from Rhyd Ddu work well too.
