Culver Hole

Mysterious walled-up cleft in the cliff at Port Eynon, thought to be a medieval dovecote

A natural cleft in the cliffs just west of Port Eynon, closed off by a tall stone wall pierced with openings. It is usually said to be a medieval dovecote, though smugglers' tales attach to it too. It is reached at low tide across the rocks from Port Eynon Point; check the tide before you go.
