Hamilton Parish

Northeastern Bermuda parish of caves, Harrington Sound, Flatts Village, and sheltered bays.

Hamilton Parish occupies Bermuda's north-eastern middle, wrapped around Harrington Sound and split between quiet residential lanes, caves, small bays, and Flatts Village. It should not be confused with the City of Hamilton; this is a parish, not the capital.

The strongest reason to come is the cluster around Bailey's Bay and Flatts. Crystal and Fantasy Caves are among Bermuda's classic sights, with clear underground pools and limestone formations. Flatts Village adds the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, a tidal inlet where water races under the bridge, and easy bus access between Hamilton and St. George's.

The parish works well as a half-day loop: caves, aquarium, a look at Harrington Sound, then a beach or the Railway Trail. It is not a place for nightlife or big-town energy, but it gives Bermuda a quieter, greener, more local-feeling day away from the cruise ship routes.
