Hacienda Orosi is the practical reason to spend a day in the valley rather than drive through it: thermal mineral pools between 34 and 39 degrees, open from nine in the morning until nine at night, with a coffee tour up the hillside, farm activities for children and guided trails where over two hundred bird species have been recorded.
Everything is ticketed by activity, so you can simply come for the water. It is about forty minutes from Cartago on the valley loop road.
