The Tin Family stands near the Regent end of the highway, a giant farm-family group made from tanks, pipes, and other scrap metal. It is funny, homemade, and slightly uncanny in the open fields.
By this point the route has done its job: Regent is no longer just a dot south of the interstate, but the punchline to a very North Dakotan piece of roadside imagination.
