Six thematic rooms of Guaraní baroque in a low building on the plaza — saints from the mission era, a Nativity, a Passion cycle, the Jesuit founders, San Miguel and the Virgen de las Mercedes. Most people who know Paraguayan sacred art will tell you this is the finest of the mission museums, and it is certainly the most concentrated. Gs 20.000, and you can walk to it from the hotel next door in a minute.
SENATUR links this museum to caminodelosjesuitas.com, the six-country Jesuit route programme, rather than to any page of its own. Worth knowing that the museum has no website, no email and no WhatsApp; the mobile above is it.
