Hoesan White Lotus Pond is the pretty side of Muan's countryside. In midsummer the pond fills with white lotus flowers, and boardwalks and paths let you move through the water rather than just look at it from the edge.
The White Lotus Festival usually brings performances, food stalls, and family activities. Outside the bloom season it is quieter, but still a pleasant stop if you are driving across the county.
