Muan White Lotus Park spreads around a large lotus habitat that was listed in 2001 as one of the largest white lotus areas in East Asia. In season the ponds are full of broad leaves and pale flowers, and the annual Lotus Festival brings food stalls, performances, and a much livelier crowd.
It is a gentle nature stop from Muan or Mokpo, best when the lotus flowers are out rather than in the colder, bare months.
