L. Robson & Sons Smokehouse

Family smokehouse curing Craster kippers over oak since 1906

The smokehouse in the middle of the village where Craster kippers are made: herring split, brined and hung in the smoke of oak shavings. The family has done this since 1906. They sell kippers and smoked salmon from the shop, and the smell drifts over the whole harbour. The pin is approximate.
