A ruined farmhouse high on the moors west of Haworth, thought to have inspired the setting of the Earnshaws' house in Wuthering Heights. A plaque notes that the building itself bears no resemblance to the one Emily Brontë described, but the bleak, open setting is exactly right. It is a walk of about 3.5 miles each way from Haworth, via Penistone Hill and the Brontë waterfall, on paths shared with the Pennine Way. The pin is approximate.
