Café-bar on Bishopthorpe Road with a century-old pork butcher's tiles above the counter

A café-bar on Bishopthorpe Road that takes up three old shop units, including the former Cycle Heaven. A 1920s German pork butcher, Henry Angel, once traded here and gave the bar its name. His animal-themed ceramic tiles were uncovered above the bar during the refurbishment. Bishy Road has one of the best runs of independent shops in York.
