Old common grazing land behind the Rowntree factory, crossed by a cycle track and footpaths

One of York's strays, the open common pastures that still ring the city, north of the old Rowntree factory between Wigginton Road and Haxby Road. A cycle track along the former railway line crosses it. There is blackthorn and hawthorn in spring and few people except passing cyclists.
