Kyle of Lochalsh station stands on the old ferry pier, the terminus of the line from Inverness through Strathcarron and Plockton. A small museum on the platform tells the story of the line and the railway's role in the West Highlands.
It's a modest stop, best combined with arriving or leaving by train. Opening hours are short, especially in winter, so check before making a special trip.
