A small evening-only restaurant in a converted house on the Stromness harbour, Hamnavoe is one of Orkney's best places for seafood. The menu changes constantly with what is landed locally — scallops, monkfish, lobster, halibut, the day's white fish — cooked unfussily and beautifully presented.
The dining room seats around 20 and books out far in advance. Reserve early. BYO is permitted, though there is also a short wine list.
