3 Blogs for the Brecon Beacons

A Hay bookseller's diary of the town and its hills, the park's own guide to the Black Mountain churches, and the Friends' guided walks

Plenty of people write about climbing Pen y Fan. Very few write about the rest of the park from the inside, and the honest count of local blogs is three. One is a near-daily diary by a Hay-on-Wye bookseller, one is the National Park Authority's own visitor writing, and one is the walk programme of the park's conservation charity.

They lead you away from the summits to the Black Mountains' tiny medieval churches, a restored watermill at Talgarth, and the limestone reserve above Crickhowell.
