Llanberis sits at the foot of Yr Wyddfa, with the busiest path to the summit and the mountain railway both starting in the village, and Llyn Padarn along its edge. The lake is good for a gentle paddle, and the slate quarries and gorges around it are used for climbing and gorge scrambling.
