St Davids is the centre of outdoor Pembrokeshire. The boats for Ramsey Island leave from the lifeboat station at St Justinian's, a mile west of town, and the booking offices are on the High Street and Cross Square. Only one operator lands on the island; the rest circle it, and some go on to Grassholm and Skomer. Coasteering started on this stretch of coast, and Whitesands Bay is the surf beach.
