John Smith's Bay is Hamilton Parish's best beach stop, with pink sand, clear water, and lifeguards in season. It is less iconic than Horseshoe Bay, but easier to fold into an east-end day around the caves and Flatts.
Facilities are modest, so bring what you need. The beach is most useful for a swim or picnic rather than a full beach-club day.
