Bloody Bay Wall is the reason anybody comes to Little Cayman: a sheer drop that starts at about six metres and falls past a thousand, close enough to shore that the boat ride is ten minutes. The shallow top means you can hang over the edge on a long, easy dive rather than burning your time getting deep.
The island has around 150 residents and no traffic to speak of, and the diving is the entire economy. Marine park rules are strict — no gloves, no touching, moorings rather than anchors — which is a large part of why the wall still looks the way it does.
