Punta Mosquito is Holbox at its most open: pale sand, ankle-deep water, and a horizon broken mostly by birds. The walk can feel wonderfully remote even though you are still on a popular island.
Go early, check tides, and respect any roped-off bird areas. The pleasure is in the slow approach along the shallows, not in rushing to a formal viewpoint.
