Museo El Lencero is a historic hacienda south-east of Jalapa, once home to Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. The rooms are filled with 19th-century furniture from Mexico, Europe, and Asia, giving a vivid look at the tastes and self-image of Mexico's old elite.
