The east end is where Curaçao goes out on the water. Spaanse Water, a big sheltered inland bay, holds the marinas, the fishermen's pier the Klein Curaçao boats leave from, and flat water for paddling through the mangroves. Jan Thiel and Caracasbaai have the beach clubs, the dive schools, and the shallow Tugboat wreck, which is easy enough for a first dive or for snorkelling.
