The Biograph Theater is a working Lincoln Park theatre with one of Chicago's more famous crime-history footnotes: John Dillinger was shot by FBI agents outside after leaving a film here in 1934. The owners do not lean hard into the gangster connection, but the classic marquee still gives the block a period feel.
Go for a performance, or stop by briefly if you are walking through Lincoln Park and want a tangible piece of Chicago lore.
