Chicago packs an enormous amount into a compact lakefront setting. The Museum Campus alone -- home to the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium -- could fill two or three days. Millennium Park and Lincoln Park Zoo are both free and both excellent. In summer, the beaches and the lakefront bike path are essential.
