Garfield Park

Garfield Park is a broad West Side park with lawns, lagoons, public sculpture, and one of Chicago's handsome old fieldhouses. It is best known to visitors for the Garfield Park Conservatory, but the surrounding park is worth a look if you have come out this far.

The Green Line stops close by, which makes the trip straightforward from the Loop. Stick to the main paths around the station and conservatory if you are not familiar with the neighbourhood.
