Pilar is a river town that most of Paraguay has never visited and that was, for a while, strategically the most important place in the country. The jeep tour is the town's own answer to that: the Cabildo, the basilica, the Fomento bank building, the 1930 textile mill that still employs the town, and then out along the coastal defence wall that held the Paraná. Guides supply the anecdotes — the battles, the local heroes — and the jeep gets you the panoramas.
It is run by Tour Verde Paraguay, which SENATUR does not name on the page and OSM does. One mobile books it: +595 971 853 537.
They publish no street address, so the pin here is the town.
