Dangmal is the main visitor node for Bhitarkanika, with forest department facilities and access to boat routes through the creeks. It is more functional than pretty, but it gives structure to a park that otherwise feels like a maze of water and forest.
The interpretation centre and nearby crocodile areas help visitors understand what they are seeing on the water. If you stay overnight in the park region, this is the practical base to ask about current routes and restrictions.
