Xiaozhuilu Trail is a short but sharp introduction to Taroko Gorge terrain, starting near the Shakadang Tunnel by the visitor centre. Its steps, boardwalks, and forested slopes give a quick taste of the gorge's vertical drama before linking naturally with the Shakadang area.
