Whitby Fishing Trips is a charter-angling outfit working from the pontoon on New Quay Road, now with two boats. In summer it runs three-hour taster sessions for mackerel; the longer trips go out for cod, ling and codling over wrecks and reefs, with uptide fishing in winter. In 2025 it was one of only three charter boats on this coast granted a bluefin tuna permit.
