Cromarty East Church

Medieval kirk in the Scottish vernacular style, regarded as one of the best-preserved Presbyterian churches in Scotland.

The East Kirk on Church Street is a medieval church in the Scottish vernacular style. It's regarded as one of the best-preserved Presbyterian churches in the country. The Scottish Redundant Churches Trust restored it in the 2000s and now looks after it.

It's a calm, plain, beautiful space, and well worth ten minutes on the way between the Courthouse and Hugh Miller's cottage.
